Nutrition

Malnutrition is a significant factor affecting human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) care and treatment and contributes to other infections. Individuals at all stages of HIV disease are at risk of nutritional deficiency and nutritional status is a strong predictor of disease progression, survival and functional status during the course of the disease.

Given this important relationship between HIV, nutrition, growth and survival of children living with the virus, Human Touch Foundation has started nutritional assessment and support as an integral part of the care plan for children and adolescents living with HIV.

The following monthly package is being provided to around 60 children and adolescents living with HIV.

Green Moong (2 kg) Jaggery (1 kg)
 Dates (1kg) Rawa (1 kg)
